2013: Early in February while looking through some old sketches on paper, I discovered one from the late 70s with an unfinished pencil sketch of a figure on both sides of an 11″ x 14″ sheet of heavy weight watercolor paper, which I decided to rework a bit; first in terms of the drawings themselves, then a decision to colorize them. A morning’s worth of focus, and viola, the piece I recently sent out as a Valentine Greeting. Below a photo showing cropped images of the two original drawings, plus how they look now when the piece hangs in a window.
