“Don’t let the Stars Get in Your Eyes…”  Four years ago I did an amount of experimenting with painting in reverse on  glass, using oils. The subject matter for the series was Stars – the five pointed variety, like a starfish, or the five armed shape found on the sand-dollar. It’s a classic shape, which adapts easily to the human form with our usual five appendages: two legs, two arms, and a head. Three of those experiments, incorporating some inspiration from Leonardo DaVinci’s Vitruvian Man drawing, are my entries in this year’s DaVinci Art Alliance December holiday show, Making Spirits Bright, running from 8-29 December, in which all works of art are $200 and under. Opening reception Sunday 8 December 1-4 pm. Be there or be square!

These three, left to right: Flim, a Vitruvian Boy: Pam, the Vitruvian Girl; Flam, another Vitruvian Boy.
