Serendipity and the View Due North

7088WPSerendipity strikes again. This morning I received an email from my sister-in-law in Maine asking if I knew my neighbors who live in the houses that have appeared in my photos lately. Deciding to illustrate my reply with a photo describing who I knew and who not, I discovered to my surprise that I possessed no particularly good photo of the view looking due North, with the focus being on the homes of my neighbors rather than the towers of Center City (which can still be seen at the extreme left). I decided to simply take a new photo. When the thought first crossed my mind, snow flurries were blowing around outside the windows with abandon. A few minutes later when I decided to actually get up from my desk to check out the view upstairs, the sky was actually clearing, allowing me to take a really lovely shot of snow-covered roofs and drifting clouds. Within minutes it was snowing again… Apparently we’ve living in one of those places where if you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute…
