On Thursday April 18, just four days ago, I made the comment that the daffodils were passé for the season, a hard rain with hail having virtually leveled the patch of yellow joyousness that I had been watching with delight for over 10 days. Well my statement that they were ‘done’ for the year was not taking into account the marvelous hardiness of Mother Nature. Each day the cluster has gathered its strength, pulling itself upright with the aid of the sun. Admittedly they’re not looking quite as vertically perky as before the rains, but they’re still surprisingly erect considering the beating they took just four days ago. Nature Rocks!
