At left and below are my three submissions to the DaVinci Art Alliance’s upcoming August show – Some Like It Hot – juried by Amie Potsic, Executive Director of the Main Line Art Center. Jurying in this case is for actual inclusion in the show, not just the awarding of prizes. So I have no idea if any, all, or none of my pieces will make the cut. Which ones would U select if U were the curator of such a show?
There’s always a possibility that all three works of art by my hand will be rejected, a chance one takes in an open juried show like this, with just one juror who selects very subjectively, based on their own personal prejudices and opinions. As they say: “that’s show biz folks!”; this is just part of a life making art. I’ll know whether I got into the show by the weekend…
